Description
Stone pedestal of an animal sculpture. The sculpture has broken off, with two paws and a tail still visible. The underside of the pedestal is decorated with lotus flowers all around, and there is a hole in the middle through which the pedestal was attached to a shaft. The pedestal was found in the well at Karabalgasun, where the remains of several lion figures were also recovered. Presumably, the crowned capital was the top of the fountain, together with the figure.
